An excellent preview by Seth on marketing efforts

Seth's post on marketing effort - "Levels of Effort"- really is so obvious, that it isn't. It actually has a very hard grain of truth.

There are two of his levels that are very similar - "No effort" and "No apparent effort". The first level is when the entrepreneur doesn't do any marketing at all. The second is when the entrepreneur does his marketing so well that it appears as though he doesn't need to do any marketing. Customers just keep on coming (back).

I think that the difference is in creating something really really unique - and something that fits with a special niche of customers, and letting them know where to find it, and getting them to spread the word.

I'd be visual and call it a "mooing purple cow"... :-D
